Arnold Clark Launches Ultra-Rapid EV Charging Network with £30m Investment

Arnold Clark has rolled out over 240 ultra-rapid EV chargers across England and Scotland, making it easier for electric car drivers to charge up quickly. The £30m investment is part of the company’s plan to expand its new charging network, Arnold Clark Charge, with over 500 chargers planned at 100+ locations.

The network includes up to eight 150kW ultra-rapid chargers at selected Arnold Clark branches, with charging available 24/7 at a cost of 55p per kWh. Customers can book a charging slot in advance through the Arnold Clark app for added convenience.

Arnold Clark CEO Eddie Hawthorne said:

"As more drivers switch to electric, reliable and accessible charging is key. That’s why we’ve invested in our own ultra-rapid network—so customers can charge easily, safely, and affordably while on the go."

With range anxiety still a concern for many, this investment could help more drivers feel confident about making the switch to electric vehicles.
