Honda’s next generation of hybrid and electric cars will debut a fresh twist on the brand’s iconic ‘H’ logo. Designed to symbolise “two outstretched hands”, the new badge marks a bold new era for Honda and will start appearing on its passenger cars from next year.
First revealed in 2024 on the futuristic 0 Series saloon and Space-Hub concepts, the logo will make its production debut later this year on the 0 Series saloon launching in the US - the first of many models to carry the new design.
It’s more than just a logo refresh, though. Honda is hitting reset on its approach to EVs, with a focus on making future cars “thin, light and wise” - prioritising sleek aerodynamics, agile handling and driver engagement. The design language seen on the 0 Series saloon, 0 SUV and Alpha concept gives a clear glimpse of what’s to come.
Hybrids are set for a major evolution, too. Between 2027 and 2030, Honda plans to introduce at least 13 new hybrid models powered by what it calls “the world’s most efficient” petrol engine setup. Expect around 10% better fuel economy, a new platform that’s 90kg lighter, and smarter use of shared components - with up to 60% commonality across models.
The new ‘H’ will roll out from 2027, meaning Honda’s upcoming Prelude coupé and Super-N city EV, both landing in the UK this year, will be the last models to proudly wear the classic badge.
