The new Ford Focus RS will be previewed later this month at the British Motor Show, with the vehicle being available in early 2009.

The new Focus RS will be front-wheel drive with a new Ford developed suspension system called RevoKnuckle to cope with the power coming from a 296bhp turbocharged 2.5 litre 5 cylinder engine which will produce over 300lb of torque, all this will propel the Focus RS from 0-60mph in just under 6 seconds.

Compared to a standard Focus the RS is wider and lower and comes with sharper steering, uprated suspension and a version of Ford's EPS system. Prices have yet to be announced for the vehicle
