Jaguar Cars, Official supplier to Team Sky has handed over two bespoke editions of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake to Team Principal Dave Brailsford in preparation for the start of the Tour De France.

The Jaguar XF Sportbrakes have been customised and will be the team’s race support cars during Team Skys challenge to win the legendary ‘yellow jersey’ of the Tour De France. With customised roof racks, race radios, and TVs to follow the action at the front of the peloton, the XF Sportbrake has been developed and adapted in close consultation between Jaguar and Team Sky. The result is an excitingly high performance, luxury vehicle that also meets the versatile demands of supporting the team on the road during their racing calendar.

Team Sky Sports Director, Servais Knaven said “from the driver’s seat I have to make all the decisions, and fast. I need a car that can drive in all circumstances and I’m really excited about the new XF Sportbrake. I get a good feeling when I drive it. It’s versatile loaded with nine bikes, there is still space and it looks cool. I’d quite like to take it home.”

Jaguar will be celebrating its partnership with Team Sky through the release and production of video pieces documenting the life of the XF Sportbrake. The first piece, ‘Ready To Race’ is available now via Jaguar’s You Tube, Twitter and Facebook channels https://www.jaguar.com/gl/en/xf_sportbrake/.
