The Jaguar XJ has been awarded Scotland’s 2010 ‘Best Luxury Car’ by the judges at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Jaguar UK’s managing director, Geoff Cousins said “the new Jaguar XJ has brought a bold new approach to the luxury car market in the UK with its distinctive design, generous accommodation and impressive predicted residual values. Our dealers and customers in Scotland are incredibly important to us and I would like to thank the judges of the Scottish Car of the Year for bestowing this prestigious award on the Jaguar XJ.”

The new Jaguar XJ recently won the 2010 Car of the Year award from Professional Driver magazine. This rates the Jaguar XJ as the top car for the UK’s chauffeurs and Private Hire drivers

The new Jaguar XJ has three engines available with four trim levels. The range starts with the 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine which generates 238 bhp and returns 40.1 mpg. A diesel engine Jaguar XJ in basic Luxury spec is priced at approximately £52,500. The next step is the Premium Luxury followed by the Portfolio both of which can be specified with a 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine. Top of the range is a supercharged version of the V8 which generates 470bhp which is only available in sport trim.
