Mazda have launched the new Mazda2 Automatic due to significant customer demand. Mazda expect the Mazda2 Automatic to be popular particularly with Motability drivers and driving schools. The Mazda2 has always been in demand from those who lease a car through the Motability Scheme and the arrival of the Mazda2 Automatic will increase this trend.
The new five-door automatic Mazda2 is badged ‘TS2 Automatic’ and sees a four-speed automatic transmission mated to the 1.5-litre engine, which returns 44.8mpg with CO2 emissions of 146g/km. The new model costs £12,370 on the road.
Mark Cameron, Sales Director at Mazda UK believes that the new ‘Mazda2 Automatic’ is certain to expand the appeal of Mazda’s smallest car. “The Mazda2 Automatic has been launched due to significant public demand. We expect it to become one of the bestselling Mazda2 derivatives, helped by demand from Motability drivers and sales generated by our driving schools programme.”
