The new Peugeot 5008 is based on the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso it has the same clever seating system which allows the middle row of seats to fold flat and the rear two to be hidden under the floor.
The 5008 is one of the most refined MPVs around. The engines are silky-smooth whether you choose the petrol or diesel; and although you can hear a small amount of wind noise passing over the roof, the Peugeot 5008 is generally a quiet long-distance cruiser.
The 5008 is competitively priced starting from £16,495 and affordable to run. The1.6-litre diesel averages more than 50mpg and more than 55mpg if you choose the e-HDi unit.
Entry-level Access models come with air-conditioning and front electric windows; the SR trim adds sat-nav. The Active trim has rear electric windows, cruise control and rear parking sensors, while the range-topping Allure versions add a range of extras including a panoramic glass roof.
