Nissan's Sunderland Plant is celebrating the production launch of the all new Nissan Juke compact sports crossover. The Nissan Juke goes on sale across Europe next month and orders in the regions of 22,500 have already been received since the order books opened in June.
The Nissan Juke has been designed and developed to give customers an alternative to the traditional small hatchback in Europe. The Nissan Juke will fit into the Nissan range between the Nissan Note compact family car and the Nissan Qashqai crossover. It is the fourth crossover in Nissans European range, and will inject some much needed dynamism into the small car segment.
Customers will be able to choose from three trim grades and three engines, including a 190 PS flagship turbocharged option. Like the Nissan Qashqai the Nissan Juke will be available in two-wheel drive versions as well as the range-topping all-wheel drive model produced at Nissan’s plant in Oppama, Japan, which also supplies Nissan Juke to the domestic Japanese market, the US and overseas markets.
The entry-level Nissan Juke Visia will be available from £12,795 and come equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, ESP, six airbags, sports seats and air conditioning, while also offering the practicality of the Nissan Juke’s funky five-door shape. The Nissan Juke Acenta spec is available from £13,795, growing the standard equipment list to include 17-inch alloys, climate control, Bluetooth with USB connectivity and the Nissan Dynamic Control System.
