A beautifully restored and incredibly rare 1960 Ford Thames 400E Pick Up is up for sale priced at approximately £7500. The vehicle was left in a will to the owner and required total restoration, the will stated that the pickup was never broken for spares so restoration became a hobby until completion.

The Ford Thames has been nicknamed ‘Sue’ by its owner due to the original number plate reading 4035 UE which makes a brilliant 403 SUE adding even further value to this prized possession. Restoration has been completed at a price of well over £10,000 and all the invoices are available to the new owner. It has a wealth of history including loads of tax discs and has a full MOT until June 2013.

The current owner states that the Ford Thames pick up starts and drives well though it may not be a novice drive but fashionably unique. The seats have been professionally recovered and everything works except the wipers which weren’t very good when ‘Sue’ was new. He also adds that the pickup could do with a new roof lining and would like the pick up to go to a handy new owner who enjoys tinkering with older vehicles and take immense pride in owning such a piece of history.
