Europe’s latest EV just dropped! Meet the Zeekr 7GT — fast, futuristic and surprisingly affordable.

Meet the Zeekr 7GT - a sleek, high-performance electric shooting brake that’s about to shake things up in Europe. With prices starting at under £40,000, it promises world-class performance, lightning-fast charging and seriously smart tech. It’s also the first of several Zeekr models set to land over the next year, and it’s taking aim at some big names.

Zeekr might be new to Europe, but the brand sits under the massive Geely group - the same parent company behind Volvo and Polestar. That means there’s solid experience under the skin. The 7GT is built on Zeekr’s next-gen 800V platform, and you can choose between 75kWh and 100kWh battery options, both charging at up to 450kW. That’s enough to boost from 10–80% in just 13 minutes if you find a suitable charger, faster than any of its European rivals right now.

You’ll be able to pick between a single-motor version with 416bhp or a dual-motor setup with 637bhp and 0–62mph in just 3.3 seconds. Top speed? Around 131mph – seriously quick for something that’s also practical enough for the weekly shop.

Inside, Zeekr’s clearly been studying what European drivers like. The interior gives off BMW energy with a driver-focused layout, premium materials and a mix of physical buttons and digital displays. There’s a 13-inch driver’s screen and a larger central display, but it’s not all tech for tech’s sake; it feels designed for people who enjoy driving.

And that body style? The 7GT’s shooting brake design isn’t just about looks - it’s a bold move that sets it apart from the usual saloons and SUVs. It’s clearly built with European tastes in mind, showing how serious Zeekr is about making a mark here.

Zeekr hasn’t confirmed when the 7GT will hit UK roads, but with Geely’s backing and plenty of buzz across Europe, expect to see the brand gaining ground fast.
