Jaguar has built its final petrol powered car in the UK. The last Jaguar F Pace rolled off the production line at the Solihull factory last Friday, marking the end of petrol and diesel production for the brand.
The F Pace was first launched in 2016 and became Jaguar’s first ever SUV. It also went on to be one of the brand’s best selling models worldwide.
The final car built was a high performance F Pace SVR finished in black and powered by a 5.0 litre petrol engine. This car will now be kept by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust as part of Jaguar’s history.
Jaguar has not made a public announcement to mark the final petrol model, but images and details were shared online shortly after the car was completed. The company has confirmed that it still has stock of petrol F Pace models available, which are expected to remain on sale into 2026.
The move is part of Jaguar’s wider plan to become an electric only brand. The car maker is currently preparing for a full relaunch, with its next new model expected to be an all electric car arriving later this decade.
For UK motorists, the end of the petrol F Pace highlights just how quickly the industry is changing, with even long established performance brands now moving away from petrol power and towards electric vehicles.
